Meredith Denning

I hold a PhD from Georgetown University, supervised by one of the world’s leading environmental historians.

Researcher, analyst and writer, I work to understand how people from different domains interact, and help them communicate with each other. I speak several ‘professional dialects’: Engineer, Lawyer, Civil Servant, Academic, Politician, Scientist, and Journalist.

As a specialist in the study of institutional resilience and water management, I think critically about how people and institutions respond to environmental change.

I am an expert on Canadian-American relations, past and present, with deep knowledge of the Great Lakes from both sides of the border.
